Create an Eclipse in After Effects

Who needs to see a real eclipse when you can create a fake one in After Effects?!

I’m super excited to share this latest tutorial with you. It covers how to create an eclipse in After Effects. The final result will look like this (but it moves, obviously...):

Eclipse.jpg

It’s not as complicated as some of the other tutorials that I’ve put out recently, but it does show you how to use a few higher-level techniques in After Effects.

Specifically this tutorial shows you how to use an alpha-crush technique to make shapes ‘sticky’. The tutorial will cover everything you need to know to create the eclipse from creating the sun to stylizing the sky.
